Office space uses and costs

Uses of an office space

A variety of companies and organizations utilize serviced offices. In today's market, these offices are not only for small businesses, but large ones as well. Oftentimes the office space is in a prime location, not "back-street," as is commonly believed.

One of the key reasons for using this type of office is flexibility. Many new businesses cannot predict the number of their employees over a two to three year period. Therefore, these companies need flexible leases in serviced office buildings, as well as the option of extra space, if needed. These companies do not want to start out with large overhead and high set up costs so they opt for the serviced offices. Even though traditional office space may be necessary in their future.

Part of the plan of an existing business may be to utilize serviced offices. An established business may have a need for a short term project. Or possibly the overheated market may prevent a company from locating the office that it needs, and a solution may be a serviced office with a fixed price.

Many companies desire to reduce their property investment. The capital and time that real estate demands may be better invested in a company's main business. Real estate capital expenses can be eliminated by leasing a serviced office. In addition, the problems of property management are left to the property owners.
