No smoking in office buildings

The smoking ban is not exclusive to the U.S. as many other countries have adopted the No-Smoking policy as well. In some office buildings, the no smoking ban may not extend to the entire building. Some rooms may be designated as smoking areas. This is often the case when a room contains a patio off of the room, where there is outside air to provide better ventilation. There may also be other types of shelters set up outside of buildings where smokers are able to light up. In still other buildings, smoking may be banned altogether. This is especially true in hospitals and other health care facilities where employees and visitors will need to step outside the building in order to smoke. Rather than take a "coffee break," employees who smoke will opt for a smoking break. Many smokers find it inconvenient, as well as unpleasant, when they have to step outside in inclement weather just to smoke a cigarette. However, many non-smokers consider it an unpleasant experience to be around someone who is smoking. This is especially true of people with allergies or asthma who may have breathing difficulties when people are smoking. In fact, some people will experience headaches, even migraines, when they are around cigarette smoke.
